Story
of the Hunt
This was my first time
hunting turkeys, and it will not be
my last. I was able to call this gobbler
and another tom in away from four hens.
I used a Quaker Boy Hurricane box call
and a Knight & Hale Ol' Reliable
diaphragm call. I had only practiced
with the box call for one month and
the diaphragm call for two weeks. I
was able to call him to my decoys approximately
35 yards away. This turkey had a double
beard a 9 1/2" and a 6 1/2".
This was a very exciting
hunt. Next year I will be trying archery.
